What are you up to this weekend?
Friday:
- The National Museum of Women in the Arts is hosting a happy hour.
- The Source Festival begins tonight. Get ready for a month of original plays.
- Ms. Maria and the Baltimore City Orchestra will be back at the Strathmore this Saturday for the Music Box Theater. You can read my review here.
- Get
your fashionista on and head over to the Yards for Fashion Yards.
- The Washington Jewish Music Festival in the Park is on Sunday.
- Get your frugalista on in Colombia Heights at the Freecycle Fete.
Stuck at home with a cold or a newborn?
There are still things to do. . .
- Break out some baguettes and wine and watch the French Open Finals live. The women's is on Saturday and the men's is on Sunday. I still think nothing beats Yannick Noah's win in the 1980's.
- Not a tennis fan? Then make yourself some kebobs and watch a movie. Check out Kenneth Turan's list of must see films. Here is a list of recently released DVD's.
- Don't forget Father's Day is next Sunday!
In other news:
- If you enjoyed Kinder Surprises as a youngster you will find this Kinder Surprise smuggling ring amusing. (note this is satire)For a good cry, listen to this.
- Story Corps gets me every time.
